Chanel Spring/Summer 1994 Runway Mint Tweed Blazer by Karl Lagerfeld

An exceptional and highly collectible Chanel Spring/Summer 1994 runway tweed blazer, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, during one of the house’s most iconic supermodel-era collections.

Cut in a softly structured longline silhouette, the jacket is rendered in a striking mint green, ivory and black windowpane tweed, finished with sculptural peaked lapels, a gently flared hem and signature gold-tone interlocking CC buttons set into black surrounds at the front and cuffs. Fully lined in coordinating mint silk.

Variations of this distinctive tweed were featured throughout Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1994 runway collection, styled as coordinating skirt suits, bras, bustiers and hats: a quintessential example of Lagerfeld’s irreverent reinvention of the classic Chanel suit for the 1990s.

A particularly rare archival Chanel piece with tremendous visual presence and runway provenance. Pieces from this collection are increasingly sought after.
